On July 7, 1949, Englewood Theatre opened its doors. A beautiful, modern, art deco style theatre patterned after Radio City Music Hall enhanced the social, cultural and civic progress of the Englewood Plaza.
The Englewood Theatre is unlike any theatre in Kansas City. The restored 1949 Art Deco theatre has a huge 50-foot screen, over 1000 feet of neon, 670 seats and is patterned after the Radio City Music Hall. Bring a friend and enjoy a movie the way it was meant to be seen………on the big screen!
